Swipe Out Hunger at Carleton College was founded by Jonah Kan in the Winter of 2017 with a mission of making meals more accessible to food insecure students and getting students to fight food insecurity on and off campus. The program operates in strong partnership with the Dean of Students Office and Bon Apetit Management.

Carleton's chapter of Swipe Out Hunger hosts one Cafe Fast per term to raise money for students who don't have enough to eat. Meals are provided during each term as well as winter, spring, and summer breaks.

During the last Cafe Fast which happened on Friday Oct 27 236 swipes were donated! The previous Cafe Fast on May 12 included 223 participants.  Stay tuned for more info about how you can give up your lunch in the spring drive and donate the funds to support food insecure students on campus.

The team aims to grow its presence on campus and encourage students to donate a meal at the upcoming Cafe Fast to support their peers.
