About the program

On a designated donation day in November and March, students with meal plans can donate up to two meals per semester by stopping by tables in the commons. These donations are then used to support other students facing food insecurity.

Are you experiencing food insecurity on campus? Get in touch with Student Financial Services. More information can be found in our Campus Resources section below.

Program Roots

Swipe Out Hunger Penn is an organization that works to combat food insecurity on campus, in Philadelphia, and around the country. In partnership with Bon Appétit and the University of Pennsylvania, we give students the opportunity to help eradicate hunger on Penn's Campus and in West Philadelphia by donating prepared, excess meal swipes from their meal plans.
