University of Memphis
Welcome Tigers!

About the program

During a two week “Tigers Fight Hunger” drive towards the beginning of the fall and spring semesters, students can stop by tables or submit an online form to donate unused guest meals.

Are you experiencing food insecurity on campus? Students can submit an online application to request swipes, which is found on this page under the Tiger Meal Swipes section called “Receiving Meals.” Check out our Campus Resources section below for information on the Tiger Pantry.

Program Roots

University of Memphis launched the Tiger Meal Swipes program in the spring of 2018 with a mission of alleviating student food insecurity and lowering the stigma related to accessing nutrition services. The program operates through a strong collaboration between Dean of Students Office, Outreach and Support Services, Student Leadership and Involvement, Chartwells Dining, the Campus Card Office, and the Student Government Association.
