University of Maryland – Baltimore County

About the program

At the beginning of each semester, a drive is held for students to donate their extra meal swipes. Students that are facing food insecurity then receive pre-loaded cards in increments of 5-10 meals to be redeemed at the dining halls.

Are you experiencing food insecurity on campus? Send an email to Retriever Essentials at retrieveressentials@umbc.edu to set up an appointment with a counselor and fill out the application. Check out our Campus Resources section for more information.
