Carleton College
Welcome Carls!

About the program

For several weeks leading up to the 7th Friday of each term, students are able to fill out an online form to sign up to skip lunch on the 7th Friday of the quarter and donate that meal to support students facing food insecurity.

Are you experiencing food insecurity on campus? Students can complete the Emergency Funding Application and a staff member from the Dean’s Office will contact the student to make referrals. Check out more information on the Carleton Cupboard in our Campus Resources section below. The Cupboard’s purpose is to provide non-perishable food items to students during academic breaks when the campus dining halls are closed.

Program Roots

Swipe Out Hunger at Carleton College was founded with a mission of making meals more accessible to food insecure students and getting students to fight food insecurity on and off campus. The program operates in strong partnership with the Dean of Students Office and Bon Apetit Management.
