Millersville University joined the Swipe Out Hunger network in the fall of 2017. The program was founded by Ayla Torchia ('17) and is operated by the Food Recovery Network team on campus in partnership with Dining and Financial Services.
The first drive happened the week of November 27! 179 students came out to the tables in front of the Galley and Anchor Dining Halls during common hour to donate one meal each to the cause. These donations were converted into meal vouchers to support students who are experiencing food insecurity.
If you or someone you know is in need of food resources, contact Financial Services for more information.
