Western Washington University
About the program
Throughout the year, Western Washington University students with a current meal plan can donate their meal swipes to the Swipe Out Hunger program. Donations are accepted at the front desk of any dining commons location, including Viking Commons (North Campus), Ridge Commons (The Ridge), and the Fairhaven Commons (South Campus). Students can also donate their swipes online at any time here.
During the Spring 2019 donation drive, 4,787 meals were donated by 212 Western Washington University donors!
Are you experiencing food insecurity on campus? Students eligible to receive meals must be a matriculated student enrolled in at least one credit or a non-matriculated student enrolled in at least six credits. Students interested in receiving meals must submit an interest form online here. The Swipe Out Hunger program at Western Washington University takes a break during the summer quarter; therefore, students facing food insecurity can access the campus food pantry located by VU 511.
