University of California – Santa Barbara
Welcome Gauchos!

About the program

Swipe Out Hunger is a campus organization that collects donated swipes to help address food insecurity in our community. Students can donate up to three swipes per week by filling out this online google form, which goes live Monday mornings at 11am through Wednesday nights at 8pm. By donating a meal swipe, students are helping feed a neighboring student who would otherwise go hungry. Eighty percent of swipes turn into meal vouchers for Gauchos in need (available for pick-up at the AS Food Bank) and the other 20% are converted to a monetary value, which is used to purchase food for local shelters. More information can be found here.

Are you experiencing food or housing insecurity? Fill out this online application to request vouchers and check out our Campus Resources section for contact information for AS Food Bank.
