University of California – Merced
Welcome Bobcats!

About the program

On an ongoing basis throughout the fall and spring semesters, UC Merced students who live on campus can log into the iCare mobile dining portal to donate unused meal points, which are then redistributed to other students facing food insecurity on campus. Students can also log on the same portal to request a transfer of meal funds directly to their account.

In the 2017 – 2018 school year, 119,000 points were donated to classmates in need!

Are you facing food insecurity on campus? If you have an active meal plan and have used up all of your Residential Dining Dollars and Cat Dollars, you can go to the online portal to request funds. Approval will be subject to availability of donations. Learn more about iCare here and check out the Campus Resources section below to learn how to access the Bobcat Pantry on campus.
