About the program

During designated drive periods in the beginning of each semester, students donate at different dining halls by simply scanning their Bearcat Card at the donation station. Students can donate one of their guest swipes if they have an Unlimited Meal Plan or one of their regular swipes if they have the Campus Dining Plan. Students experiencing food insecurity are then able to pick up 5 meal vouchers at a time in multiple offices across campus by asking a staff member for the vouchers. Students can use these vouchers at UC Main Campus dining halls and at UC Blue Ash Bleecker Street Café.

Are you experiencing food insecurity on campus? You can request and pick up meal vouchers at any of the Voucher Distribution Locations found here. In addition, check out our Campus Resources section for information on the Bearcats Pantry.

Program Roots

Their goal is to assist students in need by cutting down their grocery bills and connecting them to other resources in an effort to promote independence. The Bearcats Pantry is meant to provide supplemental support, which means we do not supply enough food to completely eradicate food insecurity.
