About the program

During the third week of classes in the fall and the spring semesters, CSU Long Beach hosts a Feed A Need Drive, where students can stop by at the dining hall to donate one swipe to their classmates facing food insecurity.

In the Winter 2019 drive, 1,622 meals were donated! Hear amazing stories from students who benefited from donated meal swipes in this video!

Feed A Need began in the spring of 2015 through a collaboration between the Emergency Wellness Team, Housing & Residential Life staff, and University Development with a mission of expanding access to healthy nutritious meals for students facing crises and improving student retention.
