California State University – Fresno
Welcome Bulldogs!

About the program

On a designated donation day each fall and spring semester, students can stop by a table near the dining hall to donate a meal to support students who are experiencing food insecurity. These meals are turned into University Dining Hall gift certificates given to undergraduate and graduate students who are experiencing food insecurity and in immediate need. Students can redeem a gift certificate for a breakfast, lunch or dinner at the University Dining Hall on campus.

Are you a student experiencing food insecurity on campus? Check out our Campus Resources below or learn more here.

Program Roots

The first Swipe Out Hunger drive coincided with the kick-off of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week on campus. That semester, 459 swipes were collected and these donations were converted into dining hall credits to support students who are experiencing food insecurity.
