College of Charleston
Welcome Cougars!
About the program
During designated donation drives in November and April, students can stop by Liberty Fast Food Co. and City Bistro dining halls to donate leftover Dining Dollars and/or meal swipes (meal swipes can only be donated in November). Meal swipes and Dining Dollars are then redistributed on the Cougar Cards of students facing food insecurity to be used like any student meal plan. The Swipe Out Student Hunger donation drive at the College of Charleston is managed by the Student Alumni Associates.
Are you experiencing food insecurity on campus? Students complete an application for meal assistance and return to the Office of the Dean of Students, Stern Center 3rd floor or to Mike Antoine at antoinemp@cofc.edu. Student Affairs and Financial Aid verifies the need. Applications are completely confidential and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine the number of meals provided. Check out more information on the Cougar Pantry in our Campus Resources section below.
