Cal Poly SLO launched the Mustang Meal Share Program in 2018 with a mission of alleviating student food insecurity on campus. The program operates in partnership between Campus Dining Services, the Dean of Students Office, and the Swipe Out Hunger student group. The program enables freshmen with a dining plan to donate up to 10 meals per year by filling out a donation form online. Students who are facing food insecurity can request meals by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (805) 756-2472.
In addition to providing marketing support for the mustang meal share program, the Swipe Out Hunger student group partners with the campus food pantry in a volunteering and fundraising capacity. Sanjana Gupta founded the student group and she is actively recruiting new members to join. Check out the team's facebook page to stay up to date on their work!
If you are interested in getting involved with the student group you can contact Sanjana at email@example.com or fill out an interest form here.
