We are thrilled to announce the launch of our partnership with Swipe It Forward at University of New Hampshire!
Swipe It Forward was founded by Alana Davidson in the Fall of 2016 in strong partnership with UNH Hospitality and the Dean of Students Office, spearheaded by David May. The program's mission is to provide free dining hall meals to students in need.
Students can donate up to 15 swipes per semester on an ongoing basis. Dining plans operate via finger scanning technology, so with the scan of a finger students can make a donation into a virtual food bank.
The Counseling Center, Health Services, and Cornucopia Food Pantry refer students to this resource and arrange for funds to be loaded onto their accounts so they can enter the cafeteria like anyone else.
The Swipe It Forward team aims to grow its presence on campus and encourage students to donate swipes to support their peers. Faculty, staff, and the greater community can make a donation to support this initiative here.
